Jalan Jalan Cari Marka - Vietnam

We took Air Asia fight FD2782 from Bangkok to Hanoi on the 29th Dec and arrived at 0890hrs on the same day.

Ha Noi - Ha Long - Cat Ba - Hanoi

From the airport we went to Aulac Hotel. We travelled there by using a travel agency services which charged us USD 30.00. When I asked why so expensive, the girl at the counter said, "If you booked return, it will be cheaper". I thought it is OK. They used Ford Everest instead of sedan car. Oh OK I said. But in the back of my mind it is still MAHAI*. Since this is my first time in Hanoi and I am on the Experience Seeker Mission, I swallowed my pride.

After we checked-in we went for our lunch at NISA Resataurant.

Vo Quang Hung fly direct from Da Nang City to joined us and arrive at Aulac Hotel at about 1530hrs. He took a bus from airport to the City, it only cost him 40,000 VND. Now I felt being riped off hahaha...

Later we went for dinner at Nisa again :( as Hung crave for Nasi Lemak. It has been nearly a year he did not have Nasi Lemak.

The funny thing is, this guy a Vietnamese having a Nasi Lemak in a Vietnamese owned Malaysian Food Restaurant in Vietnam said to me after he had his Nasi Lemak, "Tak sedap".

I promised to him, once we arrive in Da Nang, we will make our own Nasi Lemak for him and his families.

We travel toward Ha Long Bay on the 30th Morning. We paid for a 3days 2 nights cruise tour at Ha Long Bay and Cat Ba Island.

The tour agent is every where, we book it thru the hotel. My advice is keep on checking and compare the prices. Those operator ie agents work on commisions. So the chanses that you will be over charged OFFICIALLY is high.

On the first night we sleep on the the boat. and the second night we bunked at a Hotel at Cat Ba Island.

After Ha Long and Cat Ba and vietnamese junk, we head back to Hanoi and dicided to travel on the same day to Da Nang by TRAIN. The journey took us abt 14hrs and covered abt 800km++???
